Earnings ReportPENTA-OCEAN CONSTRUCTION CO.,LTD. <1893> [TSE Prime] announced its financial results after the market closed on February 9th (15:30). The consolidated ordinary profit for the cumulative third quarter of the fiscal year ending March 2026 (April to December) surged 3.1 times that of the same period last year, reaching 43.5 billion yen.
In addition, the full-year forecast for consolidated ordinary profit has been revised upward 31.9%, from the previous forecast of 36.0 billion yen to 47.5 billion yen (compared to 18.8 billion yen in the previous period), increasing the growth rate from 91.1% to 2.5 times. The company has further increased its previous forecast of record profits for the first time in six years.
Based on the full-year plan announced by the company after the upward revision, our estimate of the consolidated ordinary profit for the October to March period (second half) is expected to increase 2.1 times, from the previous forecast of 10.8 billion yen to 22.3 billion yen (compared to 5.54 billion yen in the same period of the previous year), increasing the growth rate from 95.7% to 4.0 times.
In light of the strong performance, the company has increased its planned annual dividend for the current fiscal year from the original plan of 34 yen to 44 yen (compared to 24 yen in the previous period).
In the most recent three-month period, from October to December (3Q), the consolidated ordinary profit surged 20 times that of the same period last year, reaching 18.3 billion yen. The operating profit/loss margin drastically improved from -0.2% in the same period last year to 9.1%.
