Earnings ReportTOBU RAILWAY CO.,LTD. <9001> [TSE Prime] announced its financial results after the market closed on February 4th (15:30). The consolidated ordinary profit for the cumulative third quarter of the fiscal year ending March 2026 (April to December) decreased 4.8% from the same period last year to 56.1 billion yen.
However, the full-year forecast for consolidated ordinary profit has been revised upward 3.1%, from the previous forecast of 64.0 billion yen to 66.0 billion yen (compared to 72.7 billion yen in the previous period), and the declining rate is expected to decrease from 12.0% to 9.2%.
Based on the full-year plan announced by the company after the upward revision, our estimate of the consolidated ordinary profit for the October to March period (second half) has been revised upward 6.6%, from the previous forecast of 30.2 billion yen to 32.2 billion yen (compared to 35.3 billion yen in the same period of the previous year), and the declining rate is expected to decrease from 14.3% to 8.7%.
In light of the strong performance, the company has increased its planned annual dividend for the current fiscal year from the original plan of 65 yen to 67.5 yen (compared to 60 yen in the previous period).
In the most recent three-month period, from October to December (3Q), the consolidated ordinary profit grew 3.8% from the same period last year, reaching 22.3 billion yen. However, the operating profit margin decreased from 14.1% in the same period last year to 13.7%.
