DAI-DAN, Ordinary Profit Forecast for the Fiscal Year Revised Upward by 19%, Raises Record High Profit Forecast, Dividend Effectively Increased

Earnings ReportDAI-DAN CO.,LTD. <1980> [TSE Prime] announced its financial results in the afternoon session on November 7th (13:00). The consolidated ordinary profit for the cumulative second quarter of the fiscal year ending March 2026 (April to September) surged 2.6 times that of the same period last year, reaching 18.1 billion yen.
In addition, the full-year forecast for consolidated ordinary profit has been revised upward 18.9%, from the previous forecast of 23.8 billion yen to 28.3 billion yen (compared to 23.4 billion yen in the previous period), increasing the growth rate from 1.4% to 20.5%, further surpassing the previous forecast of record-high profits for two consecutive terms.
Based on the first-half performance announced by the company and the full-year plan, our calculation indicates that the consolidated ordinary profit for the October to March period (second half) is expected to drop 38.3% from the same period last year to 10.1 billion yen.
At the same time, due to a planned 3-for-1 forward stock split is scheduled for December 31, the annual dividend for the current fiscal year has been revised from the original plan of 165 yen to 119 yen (equivalent to 193 yen before the forward stock split) This effectively represents a 17.0% increase in the annual dividend.
In the most recent three-month period, from July to September (2Q), the consolidated ordinary profit increased 65.6% from the same period last year, reaching 8.07 billion yen. The operating profit margin drastically improved from 8.3% in the same period last year to 13.5%.
