SANYU, Ordinary Profit Forecast for the Fiscal Year Revised Upward to an Unexpected 12% Increase, Dividend Revised Upward by 5 Yen

Earnings ReportSANYU CO.,LTD. <5697> [TSE Std] announced its financial results after the market closed on November 5th (16:00). The consolidated ordinary profit for the cumulative second quarter of the fiscal year ending March 2026 (April to September) expanded 483 million yen, an increase 44.2% compared to the same period last year.
In addition, the full-year forecast for consolidated ordinary profit has been revised upward 19.1%, from the previous forecast of 680 million yen to 810 million yen (compared to 725 million yen in the previous period), turning to an 11.7% increase in the consolidated ordinary profit outlook.
Based on the first-half performance announced by the company and the full-year plan, our calculation indicates that the consolidated ordinary profit for the October to March period (second half) is expected to decrease 16.2% from the same period last year to 327 million yen.
In light of the strong performance, the company has increased its planned year-end lump-sum dividend for the current fiscal year from the original plan of 20 yen to 25 yen (compared to 22 yen in the previous period).
In the most recent three-month period, from July to September (2Q), the consolidated ordinary profit grew 11.4% from the same period last year, reaching 255 million yen. The operating profit margin remained almost flat, changing from 3.7% in the same period last year to 3.9%.
