Earnings ReportOKUMURA ENGINEERING corp. <6229> [TSE Std] announced its financial results in the afternoon session on May 15th (14:00). The consolidated ordinary profit for the fiscal year ending March 2025 decreased 1.2% from the previous period to 0.74 billion yen, falling below the forecast of 1.07 billion yen, a complete reversal from the forecasted increase in profit. For the fiscal year ending March 2026, the consolidated ordinary profit is expected to decrease by 8.1% from the previous period to 0.68 billion yen. This will be the third consecutive term of declining profits.
At the same time, the company plans to remove the special dividend of the previous term and set the dividend for this term at an ordinary dividend of 40 yen.
In the most recent three-month period, from January to March (4Q), the consolidated ordinary profit/loss turned to a loss of 0.16 billion yen (compared to a profit of 0.15 billion yen in the same period last year). The operating profit/loss margin drastically worsened from 3.9% in the same period last year to -5.5%.
