Earnings ReportGeolocation Technology, Inc. <4018> [FSE Q-bd] announced its financial results after the market closed on May 14th (15:30). The ordinary profit (non-consolidated) for the cumulative third quarter of the fiscal year ending June 2025 (July 2024 to March 2025) decreased 25.9% from the same period last year to 40 million yen.
In addition, the full-year ordinary profit has decreased 49.4%, from the previous forecast of 85 million yen to 43 million yen (compared to 77 million yen in the previous period). This changes the outlook from an anticipated profit increase to a projection of a 44.2% decrease in profit.
Based on the full-year plan announced by the company after the downward revision, our estimate of the ordinary profit for the January to June period (2H) has decreased 70.0%, from the previous forecast of 60 million yen to 18 million yen (compared to 38 million yen in the same period of the previous year). This changes the outlook from an anticipated profit increase to a projection of a 52.6% decrease in profit.
In the most recent three-month period, from January to March (3Q), the ordinary profit amounted to 15 million yen, remained almost flat compared to the same period last year. However, the operating profit margin remained almost flat, changing from 8.0% in the same period last year to 7.7%.
