Earnings ReportNITCHO CORPORATION <2961> [TSE Std] announced its financial results after the market closed on May 13th (16:00). The ordinary profit (non-consolidated) for the cumulative second quarter of the fiscal year ending September 2025 (October 2024 to March 2025) decreased 12.8% from the same period last year to 539 million yen. However, the progress rate toward the full-year plan of 490 million yen is 110.0%, already exceeding the target and also exceeding the five-year average of 41.1%.
Based on the first-half performance announced by the company and the unchanged full-year plan, our calculation indicates that the ordinary profit/loss for the April to September period (2H) is expected to turn into a loss of 49 million yen (compared to a profit of 451 million yen in the same period last year).
In the most recent three-month period, from January to March (2Q), the ordinary profit dropped to 510 million yen, a 41.6% decrease compared to the same period last year. The operating profit margin decreased from 12.5% in the same period last year to 9.3%.
