Joyfull, Jul-Mar (Cumulative 3Q) Ordinary Profit Decreases by 11%
9942 Joyfull Co.,Ltd. 【J-GAAP】
Earnings ReportJoyfull Co.,Ltd. <9942> [FSE] announced its financial results after the market closed on May 12th (17:00). The consolidated ordinary profit for the cumulative third quarter of the fiscal year ending June 2025 (July 2024 to March 2025) decreased 11.0% from the same period last year to 3.01 billion yen. However, the progress rate toward the full-year plan of 2.97 billion yen is 101.6%, already exceeding the target and also exceeding the five-year average of 85.8%.
Based on the cumulative third-quarter performance announced by the company and the unchanged full-year plan, our calculation indicates that the consolidated ordinary profit/loss for the April to June period (4Q) is expected to turn into a loss of 0.04 billion yen (compared to a profit of 0.51 billion yen in the same period last year). However, if the fourth-quarter performance remains at the same level as the first three quarters, the full-year plan may be increased.
In the most recent three-month period, from January to March (3Q), the consolidated ordinary profit significantly dropped to 0.47 billion yen, a 59.6% decrease compared to the same period last year. The operating profit margin drastically worsened from 7.6% in the same period last year to 2.7%.
