Makita, 32% Decrease in Net Income for The Current Fiscal Year

Earnings ReportMakita Corporation <6586> [TSE Prime] announced its financial results (based on IFRS) in the afternoon session on April 28th (15:00). The consolidated net income for the fiscal year ending March 2025 expanded 81.6% from the previous period to 79.3 billion yen. However, for the fiscal year ending March 2026, the profit is expected to drop by 31.9% from the previous period to 54 billion yen.
At the same time, the company decided to implement a year-end dividend of 90 yen for the previous term, which had been previously undecided (making the annual dividend 110 yen), and has left the annual dividend for the current term undetermined.
In the most recent three-month period, from January to March (4Q), the consolidated net income increased 58.3% from the same period last year, reaching 17.4 billion yen. The operating profit margin significantly improved from 9.5% in the same period last year to 13.4%.
