AEON Co.,Ltd. <8267> [TSE Prime] announced its financial results after the market closed on January 10th (17:00). The consolidated net income/loss for the cumulative third quarter of the fiscal year ending February 2025 (March to November) turned into a loss of 15.6 billion yen (compared to a profit of 18.3 billion yen in the same period last year).

Based on the cumulative third-quarter performance announced by the company and the unchanged full-year plan, our calculation indicates that the consolidated net income for the December to February period (4Q) is expected to surge 2.3 times that of the same period last year, reaching 61.6 billion yen.

In the most recent three-month period, from September to November (3Q), the consolidated net loss expanded to a loss of 21.1 billion yen (compared to a loss of 4.95 billion yen in the same period last year). The operating profit margin worsened from 1.1% in the same period last year to 0.8%.
