Nalnet Communications Inc. <5870> [TSE-G] announced its financial results in the afternoon session on November 14th (14:00). The ordinary profit (non-consolidated) for the cumulative second quarter of the fiscal year ending March 2025 (April to September) significantly dropped by 52.8% from the same period last year to 154 million yen, fell short of the previous forecast of 190 million yen.

The progress rate against the 552 million yen full-year plan was 27.9%, also falling below the same period of the previous year of 63.8%.

Based on the first-half performance announced by the company and the unchanged full-year plan, our calculation indicates that the ordinary profit for the October to March period (second half) is expected to surge by 2.2 times that of the same period last year, reaching 398 million yen.

In the most recent three-month period, from July to September (2Q), the ordinary profit dropped to 101 million yen, a 38.8% decrease compared to the same period last year. The operating profit margin drastically worsened from 9.2% in the same period last year to 5.2%.
