METAWATER Co.,Ltd. <9551> [TSE-P] announced its financial results after the market closed on October 30th (15:00). The consolidated ordinary loss for the cumulative second quarter of the fiscal year ending March 2025 (April to September) expanded to a loss of 2.53 billion yen (compared to a loss of 2.28 billion yen in the same period last year).

Based on the first-half performance announced by the company and the unchanged full-year plan, our calculation indicates that the consolidated ordinary profit for the October to March period (second half) is expected to decrease by 12.1% from the same period last year to 11.2 billion yen.

In the most recent three-month period, from July to September (2Q), the consolidated ordinary loss expanded to a loss of 865 million yen (compared to a loss of 139 million yen in the same period last year). However, the operating profit/loss margin improved from -0.8% in the same period last year to -0.0%.
