TOYOTA MOTOR, Net Income Forecast for the Fiscal Year Revised Upward by 10%

Earnings ReportTOYOTA MOTOR CORPORATION <7203> [TSE Prime] announced its financial results (based on IFRS) in the afternoon session on November 5th (14:25). The consolidated net income for the cumulative second quarter of the fiscal year ending March 2026 (April to September) decreased 7.0% from the same period last year to 1.77 trillion yen.
However, the full-year forecast for consolidated net income has been revised upward 10.2%, from the previous forecast of 2.66 trillion yen to 2.93 trillion yen (compared to 4.76 trillion yen in the previous period), and the declining rate is expected to decrease from 44.2% to 38.5%.
Based on the first-half performance announced by the company and the full-year plan, our calculation indicates that the consolidated net income for the October to March period (second half) is expected to significant drop 59.5% from the same period last year to 1.15 trillion yen.
In the most recent three-month period, from July to September (2Q), the consolidated net income increased 62.4% from the same period last year, reaching 0.93 trillion yen. However, the operating profit margin significantly dropped from 10.1% in the same period last year to 6.8%.
