Earnings ReportOKAYA ELECTRIC INDUSTRIES CO.,LTD. <6926> [TSE Std] announced its financial results after the market closed on November 13th (15:30). The consolidated ordinary loss for the cumulative second quarter of the fiscal year ending March 2026 (April to September) expanded to a loss of 0.98 billion yen (compared to a loss of 0.81 billion yen in the same period last year), further increasing the deficit beyond the forecast of a loss of 0.42 billion yen.
In addition, the full-year forecast for consolidated ordinary profit/loss has been revised downward from an expected profit of 0.16 billion yen to a loss of 0.94 billion yen (compared to a loss of 1.70 billion yen in the previous period), turning to a loss outlook.
Based on the first-half performance announced by the company and the full-year plan, our calculation indicates that the consolidated ordinary profit/loss for the October to March period (second half) is expected to turn into a profit of 0.03 billion yen (compared to a loss of 0.88 billion yen in the same period last year).
At the same time, the company has decided to forego the year-end lump-sum dividend for the current fiscal year, which had previously been undecided (compared to no dividend in the prior term), and the policy has been set to continue with no dividends.
In the most recent three-month period, from July to September (2Q), the consolidated ordinary loss expanded to a loss of 0.46 billion yen (compared to a loss of 0.38 billion yen in the same period last year). However, the operating profit/loss margin significantly improved from -21.1% in the same period last year to -17.5%.
