Earnings ReportDENSO CORPORATION <6902> [TSE Prime] announced its financial results (based on IFRS) in the morning on October 31st (11:10). The consolidated net income for the cumulative second quarter of the fiscal year ending March 2026 (April to September) dropped 31.2% from the same period last year to 131 billion yen.
In addition, the full-year forecast for consolidated net income has decreased 3.5%, from the previous forecast of 515 billion yen to 497 billion yen (compared to 419 billion yen in the previous period), leading to a reduction in the profit growth rate from 22.9% to 18.6%.
Based on the first-half performance announced by the company and the full-year plan, our calculation indicates that the consolidated net income for the October to March period (second half) is expected to expand 60.2% from the same period last year, reaching 365 billion yen.
In the most recent three-month period, from July to September (2Q), the consolidated net income dropped to 52.0 billion yen, a 46.0% decrease compared to the same period last year. The operating profit margin worsened from 7.6% in the same period last year to 5.7%.
