DAIHEN, Ordinary Profit Forecast for the Fiscal Year Revised Upward by 9%, Highest in Three Terms, Dividend Revised Upward by 8 Yen

Earnings ReportDAIHEN CORPORATION <6622> [TSE Prime] announced its financial results after the market closed on November 6th (15:40). The consolidated ordinary profit for the cumulative second quarter of the fiscal year ending March 2026 (April to September) expanded 7.89 billion yen, an increase 36.9% compared to the same period last year, resulting in an increase in profits compared to the previous forecast of a 13.3% decrease.
In addition, the full-year forecast for consolidated ordinary profit has been revised upward 8.6%, from the previous forecast of 17.5 billion yen to 19.0 billion yen (compared to 17.1 billion yen in the previous period), increasing the growth rate from 1.9% to 10.6%, reaches new record high for the first time in three terms.
Based on the first-half performance announced by the company and the full-year plan, our calculation indicates that the consolidated ordinary profit for the October to March period (second half) is expected to decrease 2.7% from the same period last year to 11.1 billion yen.
In light of the strong performance, the company has increased its planned annual dividend for the current fiscal year from the original plan of 168 yen to 176 yen (compared to 165 yen in the previous period).
In the most recent three-month period, from July to September (2Q), the consolidated ordinary profit decreased to 4.12 billion yen, a 3.6% decrease compared to the same period last year. The operating profit margin worsened from 7.9% in the same period last year to 6.7%.
