SHOWA SHINKU CO.,LTD. <6384> [TSE Std] announced its financial results after the market closed on February 10th (16:00). The consolidated ordinary profit/loss for the cumulative third quarter of the fiscal year ending March 2025 (April to December) turned into a profit of 116 million yen (compared to a loss of 117 million yen in the same period last year). However, the progress rate toward the full-year plan of 465 million yen was 24.9%, also falling below the five-year average of 72.3%.

Based on the cumulative third-quarter performance announced by the company and the unchanged full-year plan, our calculation indicates that the consolidated ordinary profit for the January to March period (4Q) is expected to decrease 3.1% from the same period last year to 349 million yen.

In the most recent three-month period, from October to December (3Q), the consolidated ordinary profit/loss turned to a profit of 132 million yen (compared to a loss of 152 million yen in the same period last year). The operating profit/loss margin drastically improved from -11.4% in the same period last year to 4.2%.
