JFE Holdings, 18% Decrease in Net Income for The Current Fiscal Year, Dividend to Cut by 20 yen

Earnings ReportJFE Holdings,Inc. <5411> [TSE Prime] announced its financial results (based on IFRS) in the afternoon session on May 8th (14:00). The consolidated net income for the fiscal year ending March 2025 dropped 53.5% from the previous period to 91.8 billion yen. For the fiscal year ending March 2026, the consolidated net income is expected to decrease by 18.4% from the previous period to 75 billion yen. This will be the second consecutive term of declining profits.
At the same time, the company has decided to reduce the dividend this fiscal year to 80 yen, a decrease of 20 yen from the previous fiscal year.
In the most recent three-month period, from January to March (4Q), the consolidated net income/loss turned to a loss of 8.23 billion yen (compared to a profit of 34.4 billion yen in the same period last year). The operating profit margin worsened from 3.5% in the same period last year to 0.7%.
