MITANI SEKISAN, Ordinary Profit Forecast for the Fiscal Year Revised Upward to an Unexpected 7% Increase, Raises Record High Profit, Dividend Revised Upward by 21 Yen

Earnings ReportMITANI SEKISAN CO.,LTD. <5273> [TSE Std] announced its financial results in the afternoon session on November 12th (15:00). The consolidated ordinary profit for the cumulative second quarter of the fiscal year ending March 2026 (April to September) increased 26.4% from the same period last year, reaching 9.18 billion yen.
In addition, the full-year forecast for consolidated ordinary profit has been revised upward 12.7%, from the previous forecast of 14.2 billion yen to 16.0 billion yen (compared to 14.9 billion yen in the previous period), record profits reach four consecutive terms, turning to a 7.0% increase in the consolidated ordinary profit outlook.
Based on the first-half performance announced by the company and the full-year plan, our calculation indicates that the consolidated ordinary profit for the October to March period (second half) is expected to decrease 11.3% from the same period last year to 6.82 billion yen.
In light of the strong performance, the company has increased its planned annual dividend for the current fiscal year from the original plan of 141 yen to 162 yen (compared to 141 yen in the previous period).
In the most recent three-month period, from July to September (2Q), the consolidated ordinary profit increased 35.1% from the same period last year, reaching 3.88 billion yen. The operating profit margin rose from 13.9% in the same period last year to 16.5%.
