WEATHERNEWS INC. <4825> [TSE Prime] announced its financial results after the market closed on December 27th (15:30). The consolidated ordinary profit for the cumulative second quarter of the fiscal year ending May 2025 (June to November) increased 26.3% from the same period last year, reaching 1.62 billion yen. The progress rate toward the full-year plan of 3.8 billion yen was 42.7%, exceeding the five-year average of 36.6%.

Based on the first-half performance announced by the company and the unchanged full-year plan, our calculation indicates that the consolidated ordinary profit for the December to May period (2H) is expected to grow 5.9% from the same period last year, reaching 2.17 billion yen.

In the most recent three-month period, from September to November (2Q), the consolidated ordinary profit increased 46.7% from the same period last year, reaching 1.23 billion yen. The operating profit margin jumped from 15.2% in the same period last year to 21.2%.
