Konoshima Chemical Co.,Ltd. <4026> [TSE Std] announced its financial results in the afternoon session on December 11th (14:30). The ordinary profit (non-consolidated) for the cumulative second quarter of the fiscal year ending April 2025 (May to October) increased 12.2% from the same period last year, reaching 982 million yen. However, The progress rate toward the full-year plan of 2.3 billion yen was 42.7%, also falling below the five-year average of 47.8%.

Based on the first-half performance announced by the company and the unchanged full-year plan, our calculation indicates that the ordinary profit for the November to April period (second half) is expected to grow 10.0% from the same period last year, reaching 1.31 billion yen.

In the most recent three-month period, from August to October (2Q), the ordinary profit decreased to 349 million yen, a 24.9% decrease compared to the same period last year. The operating profit margin worsened from 7.4% in the same period last year to 5.3%.
