COSMO BIO COMPANY, LIMITED <3386> [TSE-S] announced its financial results after the market closed on November 7th (15:30). The consolidated ordinary profit for the cumulative third quarter of the fiscal year ending December 2024 (January to September) dropped by 30.7% from the same period last year to 384 million yen. The progress rate against the 450 million yen full-year plan was 85.3%, almost the same as the five-year average of 84.7%.

Based on the third-quarter cumulative performance announced by the company and the unchanged full-year plan, our calculation indicates that the consolidated ordinary profit for the October to December period (4Q) is expected to drop by 33.3% from the same period last year to 66 million yen.

In the most recent three-month period, from July to September (3Q), the consolidated ordinary profit surged to 24 times that of the same period last year, reaching 47 million yen. The operating profit/loss margin improved from -0.5% in the same period last year to 2.1%.
