KOBE BUSSAN CO.,LTD. <3038> [TSE-P] announced its financial results after the market closed on September 11th (15:00). The consolidated ordinary profit for the cumulative third quarter of the fiscal year ending October 2024 (November 2023 to July 2024) decreased by 3.1% from the same period last year to 21.9 billion yen. This progress accounts for 66.6% of the full-year plan of 33 billion yen, also falling below the five-year average of 75.8%.

Based on the third-quarter cumulative performance announced by the company and the unchanged full-year plan, our calculation indicates that the consolidated ordinary profit for the August to October period (4Q) is expected to expand by 51.5% from the same period last year, reaching 11 billion yen.

In the most recent three-month period, from May to July (3Q), the consolidated ordinary profit significantly dropped to 3.94 billion yen, a 58.5% decrease compared to the same period last year. The operating profit margin worsened from 7.8% in the same period last year to 6.9%.
