PALEMO HOLDINGS CO.,LTD. <2778> [TSE-S] announced its financial results after the market closed on September 27th (15:30). The consolidated ordinary profit for the cumulative second quarter of the fiscal year ending February 2025 (March to August) dropped by 43.0% from the same period last year to 249 million yen. The progress rate against the 305 million yen full-year plan was 81.6%, below the five-year average of 113.5%.

Based on the first-half performance announced by the company and the unchanged full-year plan, our calculation indicates that the consolidated ordinary profit/loss for the September to February period (second half) is expected to turn into a profit of 56 million yen (compared to a loss of 101 million yen in the same period last year).

In the most recent three-month period, from June to August (2Q), the consolidated ordinary profit dropped to 178 million yen, a 30.7% decrease compared to the same period last year. The operating profit margin worsened from 6.1% in the same period last year to 4.6%.
