McDonald's Holdings Company(Japan),Ltd. <2702> [TSE-S] announced its financial results after the market closed on November 8th (15:30). The consolidated ordinary profit for the cumulative third quarter of the fiscal year ending December 2024 (January to September) increased by 17.5% from the same period last year, reaching 37.6 billion yen. The progress rate against the 44.5 billion yen full-year plan was 84.7%, also surpassing the five-year average of 80.1%.

Based on the third-quarter cumulative performance announced by the company and the unchanged full-year plan, our calculation indicates that the consolidated ordinary profit for the October to December period (4Q) is expected to decrease by 21.4% from the same period last year to 6.82 billion yen.

In the most recent three-month period, from July to September (3Q), the consolidated ordinary profit decreased to 13.4 billion yen, a 4.8% decrease compared to the same period last year. The operating profit margin decreased from 14.4% in the same period last year to 13.1%.
