Earnings ReportSAKATA SEED CORPORATION <1377> [TSE Prime] announced its financial results after the market closed on April 8th (15:30). The consolidated ordinary profit for the cumulative third quarter of the fiscal year ending May 2025 (June 2024 to February 2025) increased 9.0% from the same period last year, reaching 9.35 billion yen. The progress rate toward the full-year plan of 11 billion yen was 85.0%, also surpassing the five-year average of 77.2%.
Based on the cumulative third-quarter performance announced by the company and the unchanged full-year plan, our calculation indicates that the consolidated ordinary profit for the March to May period (4Q) is expected to drop 35.2% from the same period last year to 1.64 billion yen.
In the most recent three-month period, from December to February (3Q), the consolidated ordinary profit grew 28.4% from the same period last year, reaching 3.7 billion yen. However, the operating profit margin decreased from 14.6% in the same period last year to 13.7%.
