On the 22nd, Nikkei Stock Average <^N225> closed 1,654.93 yen (2.68%) higher from the previous day to 63,339.07 yen. The number of stocks on Tokyo Stock Exchange (TSE) Prime gained was 851, lost was 663, and unchanged was 49.

The top positive contributor was SoftBank Group Corp <9984>, pushing up The Nikkei by 577.65 yen. This was followed by FAST RETAILING <9983> at 177.80 yen, TDK <6762> at 115.15 yen, Tokyo Electron <8035> at 103.58 yen, IBIDEN <4062> at 92.19 yen.

Tokio Marine <8766> was the highest on the list with a negative contribution of 15.89 yen to The Nikkei. Below, HOYA <7741> was at 5.95 yen, MITSUI & CO <8031> was at 5.5 yen, SECOM <9735> was at 4.96 yen, SONY <6758> was at 4.86 yen.

By industry, 16 of the 33 industries gained. Nonferrous Metals Sector ranked first, followed by Information & Communication Sector, Glass & Ceramics Products Sector, and Electric Appliances Sector. Insurance Sector, Real Estate Sector, and Fishery, Agriculture & Forestry Sector were among the top losers.
