The top positive contributor was SoftBank Group Corp <9984>, pushing up The Nikkei by 804.53 yen. This was followed by ADVANTEST <6857> at 458.58 yen, Tokyo Electron <8035> at 429.42 yen, FAST RETAILING <9983> at 230.90 yen, IBIDEN <4062> at 201.13 yen.
CHUGAI PHARMA <4519> was the highest on the list with a negative contribution of 15.08 yen to The Nikkei. Below, MITSUI & CO <8031> was at 12.54 yen, KDDI <9433> was at 9.25 yen, Marubeni <8002> was at 8.72 yen, TERUMO <4543> was at 8.58 yen.
By industry, 30 of the 33 industries gained, with only 3 industries, Mining Sector, Oil & Coal Products Sector, and Transportation Equipment Sector, lost. Nonferrous Metals Sector ranked as a top gainer, followed by Metal Products Sector, Information & Communication Sector, Electric Appliances Sector, Chemicals Sector, and Air Transportation Sector.
