On the 1st, Nikkei Stock Average <^N225> closed 228.20 yen (0.38%) higher from the previous day to 59,513.12 yen, rebound for the first time in third days. The number of stocks on Tokyo Stock Exchange (TSE) Prime gained was 667, lost was 843, and unchanged was 59.
The top positive contributor was Tokyo Electron <8035>, pushing up The Nikkei by 307.73 yen. This was followed by SoftBank Group Corp <9984> at 164.93 yen, TOYOTA TSUSHO <8015> at 77.13 yen, SUMITOMO <8053> at 33.52 yen, DAIKIN INDUSTRIES <6367> at 29.83 yen.
ADVANTEST <6857> was the highest on the list with a negative contribution of 107.4 yen to The Nikkei. Below, TDK <6762> was at 57.83 yen, FAST RETAILING <9983> was at 56.32 yen, Fujikura <5803> was at 32.78 yen, Kioxia <285A> was at 26.99 yen.
By industry, 12 of the 33 industries gained. Air Transportation Sector ranked first, followed by Wholesale Trade Sector, Land Transportation Sector, and Information & Communication Sector. Precision Instruments Sector, Nonferrous Metals Sector, and Securities & Commodities Futures Sector were among the top losers.
