The top positive contributor was ADVANTEST <6857>, pushing up The Nikkei by 497.20 yen. This was followed by FANUC <6954> at 167.61 yen, FAST RETAILING <9983> at 143.21 yen, Tokyo Electron <8035> at 125.71 yen, Fujikura <5803> at 62.35 yen.
CHUGAI PHARMA <4519> was the highest on the list with a negative contribution of 140.79 yen to The Nikkei. Below, SoftBank Group Corp <9984> was at 95.74 yen, Nomura Research Institute <4307> was at 22.9 yen, KDDI <9433> was at 18.91 yen, Mitsubishi <8058> was at 14.08 yen.
By industry, 13 of the 33 industries gained. Electric Appliances Sector ranked first, followed by Nonferrous Metals Sector, Machinery Sector, and Metal Products Sector. Marine Transportation Sector, Pharmaceuticals Sector, and Mining Sector were among the top losers.
