Kanadevia shares climb for third session on UK waste-to-energy contract
Kanadevia <7004> shares extended gains for a third straight session. The company announced on April 24 that its wholly owned Swiss unit, Kanadevia Inova, secured an engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) contract for a waste-to-energy plant in the UK, drawing buy orders on expectations of a positive contribution to earnings.
The contract was awarded by Viridor, a UK-based waste management and power generation firm. To be built at an industrial estate in northeast England, the facility is designed to process up to 450,000 tons of municipal waste annually and generate up to 49.9 megawatts of electricity. Operations are scheduled to commence in 2030.
