On the 20th, Nikkei Stock Average <^N225> closed 348.99 yen (0.60%) higher from the previous weekend to 58,824.89 yen. The number of stocks on Tokyo Stock Exchange (TSE) Prime gained was 646, lost was 859, and unchanged was 65.

The top positive contributor was SoftBank Group Corp <9984>, pushing up The Nikkei by 198.72 yen. This was followed by CHUGAI PHARMA <4519> at 49.78 yen, FAST RETAILING <9983> at 48.27 yen, FANUC <6954> at 46.09 yen, DAIKIN INDUSTRIES <6367> at 31.01 yen.

ADVANTEST <6857> was the highest on the list with a negative contribution of 185.85 yen to The Nikkei. Below, Fujikura <5803> was at 46.86 yen, TDK <6762> was at 37.21 yen, Shin-Etsu Chemical <4063> was at 22.46 yen, Trend Micro <4704> was at 7.44 yen.

By industry, 21 of the 33 industries gained. Machinery Sector ranked first, followed by Air Transportation Sector, Textiles & Apparels Sector, and Information & Communication Sector. Mining Sector, Marine Transportation Sector, and Oil & Coal Products Sector were among the top losers.
