Foreigners buy 1.64 trillion yen in Tokyo cash stocks in second week of April, extending heavy buying streak
The Tokyo Stock Exchange announced on April 16 that foreign investors net bought 1,641,896.14 million yen in cash stocks during the second week of April (April 6-10), the second straight week of heavy buying. In the previous week, net purchases reached 1,914,989.18 million yen. In futures trade, foreign investors sold a net 102.5 billion yen. During the period, the Nikkei Stock Average rose 3,800.62 yen, or 7.2%, on a closing basis.
