The number of stocks on Tokyo Stock Exchange (TSE) Prime gained was 1019, lost was 516, and unchanged was 36. The number of rising stocks significantly exceeded the number of falling stocks.

The top positive contributor was SoftBank Group Corp <9984>, pushing up The Nikkei by 162.51 yen. This was followed by ADVANTEST <6857> at 141.19 yen, BayCurrent Inc <6532> at 23.47 yen, Shin-Etsu Chemical <4063> at 19.11 yen, TAIYO YUDEN <6976> at 19.04 yen.

Kioxia <285A> was the highest on the list with a negative contribution of 60.78 yen to The Nikkei. Below, Fujikura <5803> was at 50.69 yen, IBIDEN <4062> was at 35.87 yen, FAST RETAILING <9983> was at 22.53 yen, Mitsubishi <8058> was at 20.52 yen.

By industry, 19 of the 33 industries gained. Information & Communication Sector ranked first, followed by Securities & Commodities Futures Sector, Banks Sector, and Precision Instruments Sector. Nonferrous Metals Sector, Mining Sector, and Wholesale Trade Sector were among the top losers.
