Nikkei 225 close on the 13th = falling, 421 yen lower to 56,502 yen

On the 13th, Nikkei Stock Average <^N225> closed 421.34 yen (-0.74%) lower from the previous weekend to 56,502.77 yen. The number of stocks on Tokyo Stock Exchange (TSE) Prime gained was 468, lost was 1055, and unchanged was 48. The number of declining stocks significantly exceeded the number of rising stocks.

Tokyo Electron <8035> was the highest on the list with a negative contribution of 158.89 yen to The Nikkei. Below, FAST RETAILING <9983> was at 39.42 yen, IBIDEN <4062> was at 33.66 yen, ADVANTEST <6857> was at 26.55 yen, TOYOTA TSUSHO <8015> was at 22.53 yen.

The top positive contributor was Kioxia <285A>, pushing up The Nikkei by 26.52 yen. This was followed by Shin-Etsu Chemical <4063> at 17.77 yen, KDDI <9433> at 15.29 yen, Fujikura <5803> at 13.68 yen, KONAMI <9766> at 13.07 yen.

By industry, 7 of the 33 industries gained. Mining Sector ranked first, followed by Information & Communication Sector, Land Transportation Sector, and Banks Sector. Rubber Products Sector, Air Transportation Sector, and Electric Power & Gas Sector were among the top losers.
