KOHNAN SHOJI hits new high as March same-store sales rise 3.6%, first increase in 2 months
Kohnan Shoji <7516> extended its rally to a sixth consecutive session, scaling a fresh record high. On the 6th, the company released its consolidated monthly sales results for March. Same-store sales rose 3.6% year-on-year, returning to growth for the first time in two months?a turnaround that spurred significant buying interest among investors.
The performance was driven by a 0.2% uptick in customer traffic and a 3.3% increase in the average spend per customer. Demand remained robust for home improvement, renovation-related products, and bulk-sized detergents. Additionally, favorable weather conditions provided a seasonal boost, lifting sales of gardening supplies such as fertilizers and herbicides.
