The number of stocks on Tokyo Stock Exchange (TSE) Prime gained was 950, lost was 557, and unchanged was 65. The number of rising stocks significantly exceeded the number of falling stocks.
The top positive contributor was ADVANTEST <6857>, pushing up The Nikkei by 90.51 yen. This was followed by FAST RETAILING <9983> at 66.78 yen, SoftBank Group Corp <9984> at 31.38 yen, IBIDEN <4062> at 23.06 yen, Kioxia <285A> at 22.29 yen.
DAIKIN INDUSTRIES <6367> was the highest on the list with a negative contribution of 9.39 yen to The Nikkei. Below, TOYOTA TSUSHO <8015> was at 7.64 yen, Mitsubishi <8058> was at 7.04 yen, SONY <6758> was at 5.36 yen, Tokyo Electron <8035> was at 5.03 yen.
By industry, 16 of the 33 industries gained. Marine Transportation Sector ranked first, followed by Nonferrous Metals Sector, Precision Instruments Sector, and Banks Sector. Mining Sector, Electric Power & Gas Sector, and Air Transportation Sector were among the top losers.
