Refinverse Group Jumps on Breakthrough in PE Film Recycling from Milk Cartons
REFINVERSE Group, Inc. <7375> rallied sharply today following the announcement of a technological breakthrough in high-purity polyethylene (PE) film recovery. The company has successfully developed a proprietary process to refine and purify the PE layers used in milk cartons?a development that sparked significant buying interest.
The Environmental Opportunity:
Each year, Japan collects approximately 88,000 tons of paper carton waste. While the pulp is widely recycled, the 17,000 tons of laminated PE film?essential for water resistance?has historically been limited to thermal recovery (incineration for energy) rather than material recycling.
Technological Edge & Outlook:
REFINVERSE’s new technology overcomes the technical hurdles of separating pulp residue from the film, enabling the production of high-purity recycled PE. This "material recycling" solution turns a previously burnt waste stream into a high-value resource. The company plans to integrate this process into its Gamagori Plant, which is slated to begin operations and ramp up for mass production in June 2026.
