As of 11:00 AM, the Tokyo Stock Exchange Prime Market showed 584 advancing stocks, 929 declining stocks, and 59 unchanged issues. Of the 33 sectors, 12 posted gains. Leading the gainers were marine transportation, land transportation, warehousing and harbor transportation services, and air transportation. Notable decliners included nonferrous metals, mining, and oil and coal products.
