Nishi-Nippon Financial Surges on Upward Revision to FY2026 Net Profit and Dividend Forecasts
Nishi-Nippon Financial Holdings,Inc. <7189> surged significantly. After the close of trading on the 31st, the company announced an upward revision to its consolidated earnings forecast for the fiscal year ending March 2026, raising its net profit projection from \37.0 billion to \40.0 billion (up 29.1% year-on-year). The company also increased its dividend forecast from \110 to \118 (compared to \75 in the previous fiscal year). The announcement attracted buying interest from investors.
Additionally, Nishi-Nippon Financial announced a medium-term management plan with fiscal year ending March 2029 as the final year. The plan aims to achieve net profit of \60.0 billion in the final year through customer-focused solution provision, contributions to regional development, and strengthening of management infrastructure including AI utilization. Regarding shareholder returns, the company indicated a policy of targeting a dividend payout ratio of around 40% and implementing flexible share buybacks.
