The top positive contributor was ADVANTEST <6857>, pushing up The Nikkei by 216.60 yen. This was followed by SoftBank Group Corp <9984> at 205.37 yen, Fujikura <5803> at 52.98 yen, Tokyo Electron <8035> at 50.14 yen, Nintendo <7974> at 27.14 yen.
FAST RETAILING <9983> was the highest on the list with a negative contribution of 57.76 yen to The Nikkei. Below, TDK <6762> was at 26.32 yen, KDDI <9433> was at 19.05 yen, OLYMPUS <7733> was at 9.43 yen, Recruit Holdings <6098> was at 7.02 yen.
By industry, 28 of the 33 industries gained. Nonferrous Metals Sector ranked first, followed by Other Products Sector, Marine Transportation Sector, and Electric Power & Gas Sector. Banks Sector, Insurance Sector, and Services Sector were among the top losers.
