On the 26th, Nikkei Stock Average <^N225> closed 170.27 yen (0.29%) higher from the previous day to 58,753.39 yen, rising for the third days in a row. The number of stocks on Tokyo Stock Exchange (TSE) Prime gained was 905, lost was 632, and unchanged was 54. The number of rising stocks significantly exceeded the number of falling stocks.
The top positive contributor was SoftBank Group Corp <9984>, pushing up The Nikkei by 129.16 yen. This was followed by FANUC <6954> at 46.46 yen, Recruit Holdings <6098> at 46.13 yen, TDK <6762> at 26.32 yen, Fujikura <5803> at 21.39 yen.
ADVANTEST <6857> was the highest on the list with a negative contribution of 131.03 yen to The Nikkei. Below, Tokyo Electron <8035> was at 92.25 yen, DAIKIN INDUSTRIES <6367> was at 27.74 yen, IBIDEN <4062> was at 23.6 yen, Sumitomo Electric <5802> was at 15.88 yen.
By industry, 25 of the 33 industries gained. Services Sector ranked first, followed by Banks Sector, Marine Transportation Sector, and Information & Communication Sector. Retail Trade Sector, Glass & Ceramics Products Sector, and Nonferrous Metals Sector were among the top losers.
