The number of stocks on Tokyo Stock Exchange (TSE) Prime gained was 1067, lost was 490, and unchanged was 37. The number of rising stocks significantly exceeded the number of falling stocks.
ADVANTEST <6857> was the highest on the list with a negative contribution of 148.41 yen to The Nikkei. Below, Tokyo Electron <8035> was at 86.24 yen, Recruit Holdings <6098> was at 84.53 yen, IBIDEN <4062> was at 79.62 yen, SoftBank Group Corp <9984> was at 74.61 yen.
The top positive contributor was FANUC <6954>, pushing up The Nikkei by 43.12 yen. This was followed by Fujikura <5803> at 34.43 yen, TOYOTA TSUSHO <8015> at 33.29 yen, TOYOTA MOTOR <7203> at 21.89 yen, Shin-Etsu Chemical <4063> at 14.37 yen.
By industry, 29 of the 33 industries gained. Nonferrous Metals Sector ranked first, followed by Mining Sector, Oil & Coal Products Sector, and Textiles & Apparels Sector. Other Products Sector, Services Sector, and Information & Communication Sector were among the top losers.
