The top positive contributor was ADVANTEST <6857>, pushing up The Nikkei by 181.84 yen. This was followed by CHUGAI PHARMA <4519> at 35.40 yen, KONAMI <9766> at 23.57 yen, Nintendo <7974> at 15.04 yen, Shionogi <4507> at 12.53 yen.
Tokyo Electron <8035> was the highest on the list with a negative contribution of 78.22 yen to The Nikkei. Below, SoftBank Group Corp <9984> was at 40.91 yen, Lasertec <6920> was at 29.95 yen, FAST RETAILING <9983> was at 28.08 yen, IBIDEN <4062> was at 17.52 yen.
By industry, 22 of the 33 industries gained. Other Products Sector ranked first, followed by Pharmaceuticals Sector, Banks Sector, and Textiles & Apparels Sector. Iron & Steel Sector, Marine Transportation Sector, and Food Products Sector were among the top losers.
