Nikkei 225 close on the 15th = falling for the first time in 4 days, 230 yen lower to 54,110 yen
On the 15th, Nikkei Stock Average <^N225> closed 230.73 yen (-0.42%) lower from the previous day to 54,110.50 yen, falling for the first time in forth days. The number of stocks on Tokyo Stock Exchange (TSE) Prime gained was 1161, lost was 396, and unchanged was 41. The number of rising stocks significantly exceeded the number of falling stocks.
SoftBank Group Corp <9984> was the highest on the list with a negative contribution of 168.46 yen to The Nikkei. Below, ADVANTEST <6857> was at 152.42 yen, FAST RETAILING <9983> was at 92.25 yen, FANUC <6954> was at 30.92 yen, KDDI <9433> was at 30.28 yen.
The top positive contributor was Tokyo Electron <8035>, pushing up The Nikkei by 28.08 yen. This was followed by RYOHIN KEIKAKU <7453> at 22.76 yen, Shin-Etsu Chemical <4063> at 17.21 yen, TOYOTA TSUSHO <8015> at 16.04 yen, TOYOTA MOTOR <7203> at 15.38 yen.
By industry, 25 of the 33 industries gained. Banks Sector ranked first, followed by Transportation Equipment Sector, Iron & Steel Sector, and Wholesale Trade Sector. Information & Communication Sector, Precision Instruments Sector, and Land Transportation Sector were among the top losers.
