The number of stocks on Tokyo Stock Exchange (TSE) Prime gained was 1153, lost was 393, and unchanged was 52. The number of rising stocks significantly exceeded the number of falling stocks.
The top positive contributor was ADVANTEST <6857>, pushing up The Nikkei by 287.46 yen. This was followed by Tokyo Electron <8035> at 128.35 yen, FAST RETAILING <9983> at 107.50 yen, FANUC <6954> at 50.97 yen, Lasertec <6920> at 23.00 yen.
SoftBank Group Corp <9984> was the highest on the list with a negative contribution of 149.21 yen to The Nikkei. Below, TDK <6762> was at 29.83 yen, DAIICHI SANKYO <4568> was at 15.04 yen, DENTSU <4324> was at 13.37 yen, Recruit Holdings <6098> was at 7.72 yen.
By industry, 29 of the 33 industries gained. Mining Sector ranked first, followed by Precision Instruments Sector, Machinery Sector, and Banks Sector. Information & Communication Sector, Fishery, Agriculture & Forestry Sector, and Services Sector were among the top losers.
