The top positive contributor was ADVANTEST <6857>, pushing up The Nikkei by 462.61 yen. This was followed by Tokyo Electron <8035> at 312.86 yen, SoftBank Group Corp <9984> at 147.61 yen, FAST RETAILING <9983> at 85.84 yen, Shin-Etsu Chemical <4063> at 55.15 yen.
TDK <6762> was the highest on the list with a negative contribution of 19.55 yen to The Nikkei. Below, Recruit Holdings <6098> was at 15.84 yen, Nitori <9843> was at 10.7 yen, 7&i <3382> was at 7.22 yen, Nintendo <7974> was at 7.19 yen.
By industry, 27 of the 33 industries gained. Transportation Equipment Sector ranked first, followed by Banks Sector, Wholesale Trade Sector, and Securities & Commodities Futures Sector. Air Transportation Sector, Other Products Sector, and Retail Trade Sector were among the top losers.
