ADVANTEST <6857> was the highest on the list with a negative contribution of 254.03 yen to The Nikkei. Below, FAST RETAILING <9983> was at 128.35 yen, SoftBank Group Corp <9984> was at 52.95 yen, TDK <6762> was at 35.85 yen, KONAMI <9766> was at 28.08 yen.
The top positive contributor was Tokyo Electron <8035>, pushing up The Nikkei by 82.23 yen. This was followed by Recruit Holdings <6098> at 31.09 yen, HOYA <7741> at 14.04 yen, IBIDEN <4062> at 14.04 yen, Astellas Pharma <4503> at 9.94 yen.
By industry, 9 of the 33 industries gained. Precision Instruments Sector ranked first, followed by Services Sector, Pharmaceuticals Sector, and Marine Transportation Sector. Mining Sector, Oil & Coal Products Sector, and Other Products Sector were among the top losers.
