On the 25th, Nikkei Stock Average <^N225> closed 63.69 yen (0.13%) higher from the previous day to 50,407.79 yen. The number of stocks on Tokyo Stock Exchange (TSE) Prime gained was 1161, lost was 388, and unchanged was 50. The number of rising stocks significantly exceeded the number of falling stocks.

The top positive contributor was Tokyo Electron <8035>, pushing up The Nikkei by 57.16 yen. This was followed by FANUC <6954> at 20.06 yen, TDK <6762> at 14.79 yen, Shionogi <4507> at 8.32 yen, SONY <6758> at 8.19 yen.

ADVANTEST <6857> was the highest on the list with a negative contribution of 97.6 yen to The Nikkei. Below, FAST RETAILING <9983> was at 32.09 yen, Fujikura <5803> was at 15.04 yen, IBIDEN <4062> was at 11.2 yen, SoftBank Group Corp <9984> was at 8.02 yen.

By industry, 26 of the 33 industries gained. Pulp & Paper Sector ranked first, followed by Metal Products Sector, Real Estate Sector, and Rubber Products Sector. Nonferrous Metals Sector, Textiles & Apparels Sector, and Mining Sector were among the top losers.
