On the 19th, Nikkei Stock Average <^N225> closed 505.71 yen (1.03%) higher from the previous day to 49,507.21 yen. The number of stocks on Tokyo Stock Exchange (TSE) Prime gained was 1161, lost was 383, and unchanged was 58. The number of rising stocks significantly exceeded the number of falling stocks.
The top positive contributor was SoftBank Group Corp <9984>, pushing up The Nikkei by 198.55 yen. This was followed by ADVANTEST <6857> at 104.29 yen, Tokyo Electron <8035> at 89.25 yen, Fujikura <5803> at 22.40 yen, TOYOTA TSUSHO <8015> at 18.75 yen.
KONAMI <9766> was the highest on the list with a negative contribution of 14.71 yen to The Nikkei. Below, Nintendo <7974> was at 11.2 yen, TDK <6762> was at 10.78 yen, SONY <6758> was at 10.36 yen, KYOCERA <6971> was at 9.09 yen.
By industry, 28 of the 33 industries gained. Nonferrous Metals Sector ranked first, followed by Construction Sector, Information & Communication Sector, and Banks Sector. Other Products Sector, Marine Transportation Sector, and Fishery, Agriculture & Forestry Sector were among the top losers.
